Again this is mostly flat with a small climb as you come up to Murdock. The scenery really changes in this stretch and westsiders will be stopping every few miles (or feet) for another good photo. It gets a little drab between Murdoch and The Dalles and the Dallesport Road might be a good alterative, but I have never done it. Taking The Dalles bridge is best done on the side walk. It is on the east side (facing northbound traffic) and is not super wide, but a lot more road than you have on the road itself. |
