20 March 2008 - Day 12
< Prev Next >

Today started the jobs that require waiting... waiting for mud to dry... waiting for thinset to dry... waiting for grout to dry. So don't expect a lot of progress from day-to-day. The lag time made it a good day, though, to pick up the fixtures which had come in.

As I said last night, the bathroom really needed to be cleaned. Not that we're are really using it as a bathroom, but it is (was) gross and these three pictures should provide the evidence.

No walking barefoot in here in the middle of the night.

Even the closet was not navigable.

So now it is at least clean enough to brush my teeth.

Primary tasks today are taping the seams, putting on the first layer of mud and cleaning the thinset off my tile work. I was pretty sloppy.

Don't know if you can really tell from this picture but the tile is now free of any stray thinset (as compared to last night's picture).

Mud work all done. Note that this picture was taken at the end of the day and the mud is only half dry.

Laundry shoot is mudded (pain in the butt)

...and the utility room walls.
